You’ll feel the lightness of this frame every time the road tilts upwards, just as you’ll appreciate it every time you lift the bike up the stairs, whether that’s to get to your flat on the fourth floor or to access the secure storage at your place of work. To achieve this category-leading lightness, we focused on shaving every possible gram from the tubing, with aggressively-thin walls that sacrifice nothing when it comes to stability. The effect of this is a frame and fork that weighs 450g (1lb) less than past iterations.
It’s not unheard of for entry-level bikes to save cost with inferior forks not so with the Allez Sport, which benefits from a fork made of Specialized’s top FACT carbon fibre. That’s the same carbon fibre used on our elite Tour de France-winning machines. The results is a bike that is better handling, smoother riding and lower in weight, floating over gravel-strewn B-roads and carving through corners. The geometry of the frame in informed by our huge Retl fit database and is designed to accommodate a broad range of riding positions so the Allez Sport will perform whether you prefer a more relaxed, upright style or a speed-seeking aggressive lean forward.
The Allez Sport is extremely reliable and you may find that it ends up being your daily ride, which is why we’ve included mounts for racks and fenders, as well as clearance for 28mm tyres all of which make it easy to envisage as a high-speed commuting machine.
The Sport version of the Allez is completed with Shimano Sora components, a Praxis Alba 2D crankset and Axis Sport hoops, making it an exhilarating bike to ride for years to come.
